As the Sanabul Highlights Gi is IBJFF approved and is built in an exceptional standard, it is really perfect for all those who are looking for gis they can be used both for the competition and training.
It is the most expensive product in the Sanabul's brand. Even though it is more expensive, it is extremely long lasting/ durable and it is also ideal for those who participate in the competition.
Sanabul Highlights Gi Review: Style & Design
In the first glance, Sanabul Highlights Gi looks same as the sanabul Essentials Gi, however it is, there are some minor differences between these two products that helps to differentiate these two models.
Initially, The embroidered logo on the lapel of the Sanabul Highlights gi is done with the text. The stitching really looks beautiful, becauseit is created with the contrasting color to the gi. This adds extra look and gives still more character to the gi.
Next, there are other two logos that are attached on the pants of this gi, One is the icon logo which is at the right thigh (top) and the next is the brand name which is attached at the left knee (below).
Eventhough it seems like there are lots of branding stuffs, it is really quite minimal than compared to other gis in the market.
Quality & Durability
Now we are going to take a look at both durability and quality of sanabul gis, this is the most important part in the whole review.
A poorly made gi will start to wear and tear extremely quickly, especially if you're racking up some serious hours on the mat. Fortunately, that isn't the case with the Sanabul Highlights gi.
The gis made of poor material will start to tear very quickly, It is not the case with this gi, because it is made with organic cotton material which ensure both durability and comfort. Meanwhile it gives you perfect fit. The pants are made using Rip Stop material, which helps a lot in preventing it from ripping.
Comfort & Fit
Here is my question: What is the meaning of using a good quality gi if you do not feel any comfort in it?
Well, Sanabul always understand the view of the people and know what they want, consistently they ensure that their Highlights Gis are comfortable for both to train and to compete.
Although the highlights gis comes pre-shrunk like the other gi's in the market, it will shrink a little in the first wash, but the shrinkage is not very severe. It can be solved by washing with cold water.
The Highlights Gi is made of 450GSM material, which is very light. This is very ideal for those who are planning on competing. Similarly, this is awesome for training/practice in summer.
The reality is, when you start to use the gi regularly for all your training session then it ends up smelling bad. But, sanabul have combated this issue by producing fabrics that underwent both the Antimicrobial and Anti Odor treatment. But, I will still recommend you to wash your gi after every session as it will keep your gi very fresh.
